Shrimp Gumbo Recipes - It's Your Grill
Whatever fish you caught, a good recipe and proper cooking will for sure enhance the catch. Take time to prepare for cooking, a badly cooked fish will no doubt spoil your day. Remember the first rule of cooking, don't overcook your fish.
Because fish contains natural oils, it is not compulsory to add oil or fat before baking. To ensure the fish stays moist, you might like to brush a little oil or butter on top of it before cooking or top the fish with seasoned breadcrumbs or thinly sliced vegetables. There are many fish recipes, which make use of vegetables or breadcrumbs to add flavor and texture.

Seafood Chowder
ngredients
* 1/2 cup butter * 1 stalk celery, minced * 1 small onion, minced * 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper * 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme * 1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram * 3 tablespoons flour or baking mix (I use buttermilk baking mix) * 3 1/2 cups milk (or more if you like a thinner soup More milk can be added as needed after soup is completed.) * 2 cans condensed cream of potato soup (undiluted) * 1 1/2 lbs shrimp or scallops or clams or crab (whatever you want your soup to be I like to use shrimp, scallops and whole baby clams. I've even use) * chopped fresh parsley (to garnish)
There are many cooking methods, here are some tips on how to make your meals rise up and taste great.
* In thawing frozen fish, slowly thaw in the fridge for 24 hours or let the wrapped fish be run under cold water not at room temperature. * Olive oil or a combination of oil and butter will give the fish a tasty crispness. * You can place fish directly on the grill, but if you do this, use a firm fleshed fish, like grouper, tuna, swordfish, or salmon.
* You may want to try other herbs and spices with the batter for a more delicious fish.
* Use fresh fish, it is easier to work with than frozen fish. * Be careful not to over stuff the fish if you are using a breadcrumb stuffing, because breadcrumbs expand when cooking.
